The document presents a sealed complaint (which was unsealed last week) filed against military contractors Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grunman under the False Claims Act. The complaint alleges that the defendants engaged in hundreds of millions of dollars of procurement fraud against the US government involving ship construction at Deepwater.According to the complaint, the companies fraudulently cut corners in the construction of a number of Cost Guard boats, leaving them unfit for operations. The complaint estimates the fraud to be worth $240M and asks for penalties of around $1billion.
